Ice Dam Damage Repair
Ice dams form when heat escaping through your attic melts snow on your roof's upper section. That meltwater flows down and refreezes at the colder eaves, creating a ridge of ice that traps water behind it. That standing water backs up under shingles and into your roof deck, causing leaks, rotted sheathing, and interior water damage.
What we repair:
- Damaged or rotted roof decking beneath ice dam zones
- Compromised ice-and-water shield membrane
- Shingles lifted or cracked by ice pressure
- Soffit and fascia damage from ice weight
- Gutter sections crushed or pulled away by ice
How we prevent recurrence: We don't just patch the damage — we address why the ice dam formed. We assess your attic insulation (R-38 minimum is required in our climate zone), check for air leaks around hatches and recessed lights, and evaluate your ridge and soffit ventilation balance.
